The Shimano STEPS SW-E8000 Assist Switch Unit is designed to mimic the feel of a shifter pod, but instead of changing a bicycles gears, the levers of this switch unit will control the power assist levels of an e-bike equipped with Shimano STEPS drive system. Each switch unit features two large and tactile levers that are easy to activate and thanks to Firebolt technology, each push of a lever will provide clear feedback that a change to an e-bikes power level has been made. The low profile handlebar clamp is designed to clear most of Shimano’s hydraulic and even some mechanical brake levers, and this switch unit has a SD50 style connector port to make it easy to wire this switch unit into a STEPS e-bike drive system.
