If you have Rotors 3D24 Track Cranks, the perfect bottom bracket to complement it is the Rotor Track Threaded Bottom Bracket. It is designed specifically for Rotor track cranks.
Track bikes arent produced at the pace of road bikes. Because of the lower volume, many innovations that have moved through road and mtb bikes have yet to arrive in the track world. Further, many ride a single track frame forever. As a result, just about all track bikes have threaded bottom brackets.
There are two standards, English (BSA) and Italian (ITA). There are two easy ways to tell them apart. One is shell width. English shells are 68mm wide, while Italian are 70. The second is threading. The drive side on English bbs is reverse-threaded, while Italians are not.
This bottom bracket consists of two external cups housing one bearing each. Because the application is the relatively clean and dry world of the velodrome, the bearings are packed with thinner grease and the seals not quite so thick. The result is lower drag, aka increased speed. Weight for the kit is 96g.
The Rotor Track Threaded Bottom Bracket completes your Rotor Track Crank.
