Inside, the hookless inner rim creates a smoother interface between the tire and the rim for improved aerodynamics, as well as facilitating a rounder tire shape and larger contact patch that increases grip and sidewall support that in turn provides a platform for lower tire pressures, improved cornering grip, and reduced power loss. High-tensile-strength carbon spokes and Dynamic Balanced Lacing boost lateral stiffness without adding any weight, and the straight pull design eliminates potential spoke breakage at the hub.
