Shimano Claris ST-RS200 Flat Bar Road Shift/Brake Levers Description:

The Shimano Claris ST-RS200 Flat Bar Road Shift/Brake Levers are designed to operate an 8-Speed road bike drivetrain on a bike with a mountain bike style or urban/commuter bike style handlebar (for example, a road bike that has been converted to have a flat or riser handlebar on it to allow for a more upright riding position). These shifters feature Shimano’s RAPIDFIRE PLUS shifting for incredibly quick and precise shifting, and aiding in the easy lever actuation is the included set of OPTISLICK stainless steel inner cables that have a thin coating to prevent corrosion build up and friction. To make it easier to keep track of what gear the rider is in, there is an Optical Gear Display with a high contrast indicator that provides useful information at a glance. And when it comes time to slow down, the integrated short pull brake levers are adjustable so the reach between the lever and the handlebars can be dialed in for any hand size, and these levers will work with road bike style rim brake calipers or any short-pull specific mechanical disc brake calipers. Finally, a one bolt clamp band securely attaches this shift/brake lever to a handlebar, and the thin width of the clamp band will not take up much space so there is more room on the handlebars for grips or other accessories.

Note: Inner brake cable and brake housing are not included. Requires a mountain bike style inner brake cable (see above for recommended brake cable and housing).
